Multicare Launches Retreat for a Cause on Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday has a way of cutting through the noise. In the middle of a season that can feel crowded and fast, it arrives like a pause button—an invitation to return to what matters: community, compassion, and the simple truth that generosity changes lives.
This year, Multicare Community Services chose to honor that day of giving by doing something new—and deeply aligned with its mission. On Giving Tuesday, Multicare launched its first Retreat for a Cause, bringing together philanthropists and community supporters for an intentional fundraising experience rooted in wellness, connection, and impact.

“Giving Tuesday reminds us that philanthropy is not just about giving—it’s about coming together with intention,” said Vivianka Lanvin, Co-Founder of Multicare Community Services. “Retreat for a Cause reflects our belief that when community, wellness, and purpose align, we create a deeper and more lasting impact for the families we serve.”
Organized in collaboration with LMA Consultants and S Revista, the event took place at Spry Society’s Doral headquarters. The retreat delivered exactly what the season calls for: a moment to reset—while also stepping up for a cause. Guests were welcomed into a beauty and wellness experience designed to feel both elevated and accessible, with a festive edge: just in time for holiday parties, family photos, and year-end celebrations.
The programming included a makeup tutorial and a practical, expert-led session on skincare—how to prep the skin before makeup and how to care for it after. The message was subtle but clear: self-care isn’t vanity; it’s stewardship. And when we care for ourselves, we show up stronger for others.

As guests mingled, shared tips, and leaned into the experience, something powerful happened: philanthropy became personal. Conversations flowed easily. Connections formed. Support was expressed not only in donations, but in presence—an offering that can be just as meaningful.
One of the most memorable moments came courtesy of Events by Bea Catering, who crafted a beautiful spread of healthy treats that felt as thoughtful as it was delicious. Then, in a beautiful gesture, Bea announced that she was donating her services for the day to the foundation—turning her talent into a direct gift for Multicare’s work.
The retreat wasn’t simply a fundraiser; it was a statement about how Multicare intends to grow: with community at the center, partnerships that reflect shared values, and experiences that invite people in—rather than asking from a distance.

“This event was a beautiful example of what happens when generosity meets collaboration,” said Amanda Cruz, Executive Director of Multicare Community Services. “Seeing our supporters come together to celebrate wellness while directly supporting Multicare’s mission was incredibly powerful. Retreat for a Cause represents a new way for us to engage our community and sustain the work that matters most.”
As Giving Tuesday came to a close, the impact was already tangible: funds raised to strengthen Multicare’s programs and sustain services for families who rely on them. But equally important was what couldn’t be counted—momentum, belief, and the sense that this was only the beginning.

In a world that often asks us to rush, Retreat for a Cause offered something rarer: a reminder. That generosity can be beautiful. That wellness can be communal. And that when a community chooses to gather with purpose, giving becomes more than a moment—it becomes a movement.
